Ben has gotten himself into big trouble. Not one but two, count them two, sexual assault allegations were made by two different women. It is just mind boggling that he gotten himself into those situations twice.

Pawtucket Red Sox Beat

Michael Bowden: Trade Bait or Not

Though the season is still quiet young, there are some holes on the Red Sox that need to be filled. One of those holes is a big bat in their lineup. Though the Red Sox didn't sign one during free agency, they still have the option of trading for one. However that would mean trading one of their minor leaguers. One possible trade bait is RHP Michael Bowden from their AAA Pawtucket Red Sox team. He already has experience in the major leagues, making 3 appearances with Boston in '09 going 1-1 with an ERA of 9.56 and this year went 0-0 in 4 spring training games with an ERA of 5.19. As of this moment, Bowden has a 0-0 record in 3 appearances with the Pawsox, 8 total Ks, 7total BBs, and ERA of 1.11 in 10.1 innings of play. What may attract teams into trading for Bowden would be he can throw mid-range 78-96 mph, can battle back when he falls behind, and can jam a hitter into making a pop out. What may repel teams from trading for Bowden is that he has no variation of pitches (relying more on the fastball than anything else), his awareness of the baserunners stealing is low, he can fall behind quickly in the at-bat pitch count, he has a tendency to lose control of his pitches, and those pitches can easily dip to 79-82mph. Overall, Michael Bowden isn't exactly trade bait by himself. However if he's packaged together with 1 or 2 more players then there is a possibility of a trade being made. .

“The sky is falling!! The sky is falling!!” At least poor Chicken Little didn’t have a stake in the heavens crashing down to earth. Al Gore, on the other hand, has benefited quite a bit from his end-of-days ramblings. Or maybe you forgot about his Academy Award for “An Inconvenient Truth”. Not to be left out of the pandering love-fest, the Grammy’s made sure to give him an award too. And The Nobel Foundation! Though, considering there was no actual science in the film, all they could muster up was a Peace Prize. Not that anyone really takes that award seriously anymore, with previous winners such as unrepentant anti-Semite and terrorist Yasser Arafat, and nominees like Rush Limbaugh and former founder of the Crips street gang, Tookie Williams. Even still, there’s lots of carbon credits at stake here.
